That said, the food and atmosphere were genuinely enjoyable, and I would visit again, just with lower expectations regarding the service. The Matcha here is too sweet, so we didn’t like it, however the coffee and the yogurt was tasty. It feels less like high-end service and more like being monitored by a stern proctor. The music was nice, the food was okay, and the crowd was pleasant. The second time around, the bartender, instead of making me a Vesper, pushed a premade drink on me.

I should set expectations, though. We selected a table on the balcony upstairs with a lovely view. The Greek salad was also very good, made with fresh and tasty ingredients. We visited Καφενείο Η Ωραία Ελλάς twice, and it’s a very atmospheric and charming place. Everything about this place feels special, from the food to the atmosphere. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable.
